		Patrick McDonnell, PharmD, Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at Temple University School of Pharmacy, received his BS degree in Medical Technology/Biochemistry from the University of Scranton and his PharmD degree from Temple University. He completed a residency in Pharmacy Practice at Temple University Hospital prior to his current faculty appointment. Dr. McDonnell specializes in the area of drug-induced disease, adverse drug reactions, and medication safety. He is one of the primary instructors in Temple University School of Pharmacy’s Medication Safety Track taught in conjunction with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). He recently received the Lindback Foundation Award for Distinguished Teaching, becoming one of the first clinical educators to receive this award for Temple University. He and his colleagues also have received recognition for medication safety programs for work in venothromboembolism prophylaxis. He has published in several pharmacy/medical journals, and has served as a professional reviewer for these publications.
